Hola Subscriber First Name!, Welcome to Issue No. 129 of The Spain Weekly Newsletter! This issue crosses from north to south with an amazing variety of homes. Whether you want a seaside escape or countryside charm, you’re going to find something interesting here! A few highlights: The 1st property in the newsletter is a unique seller financing deal where you put about €40k down and then pay €900/month over a set amount of time, with the final balance due years later (balloon payment). This is interesting because seller financing is not a common practice in Spain - but I think it should be! Mortgages can be difficult to get if your income comes from another country, and this is a great way to buy a home without giving up all your cash in one go. Worth a look! We found at least 4 sea view apartments for under €200k all along the Mediterranean coast. I don’t think this pricing will last because we’re seeing rental rates in the same areas rise significantly lately, I think due to increased tourism in Spain. If you refinished the home in a modern way (something sorely needed), there’s a lot of potential to rent it out when not in use. For the adventurous type, we discovered an 18 room hotel in Asturias in need of a complete restoration. This is certainly the most exciting home in the bunch.
