Summer i officially, are you keeping cool? Europe has been rocked by it’s first heat wave of the year with temps reaching 42 C (107 F) is some spots! For decades Spanish families have escaped the intense heat of the city by heading out to coastal areas where the sea breeze keeps temps bearable.

Inspired by this, we’ve uncovered 10 sea view homes near the coast! 3 rentals and 7 homes for sale are featured this week. Plus, we found several country homes that need new caretakers if you’re up for a bit of a project.

Lastly, have you heard Barcelona is banning tourist rentals entirely? That means all 10k Airbnbs/VRBOs/etc. will need to be converted to long term living by 2029. A big change for the city but one that I support as it will hopefully make prices for those living in the city more manageable. Of course, Airbnbs will still be allowed in the surrounding areas so there will still be plenty of options just a train ride away.
